BOMBER COMMAND TRIBUTE 1939 - 1945 The first of two new Bomber Command prints now available. commemorating the bravery and devotion to duty of the aircrews of the RAF Bomber Force during the period of the Second World War. Once the declaration of war had been delivered to Hitlers Nazi Germany the RAF carried out its very first raid on the 4th September 1939, these actions continued despite mounting losses to the brave aircrews of Bomber Command until the final days of the Reich in 1945. The first available print covers RAF Bomber Commands initial contribution in 1939 showing a member of the RAF during the period 1939 -1941 and who would have flown the early bombers such as the Hampden, wellington and Blenheims, the second print covers the period to the end of the war showing a typical bomber aircrewman who would have flown with the Halifax and Lancaster Squadrons of the RAF from 1942 to 1945.
